Aluminum connector / Junction key
AV Composites roof panels feature a dedicated junction key system designed to create a secure, precise, and reliable connection between adjacent panels. The junction keys are inserted into the dedicated profiles located along the sides of the panels, allowing each panel to connect properly to the next one as the roof system is assembled.
Each junction key is approximately 0.63 inches wide and is available in two standard lengths: 14.93 ft and 24.61 ft. These two lengths provide flexibility for different panel dimensions and project configurations.
The number of junction keys required depends on the thickness of the roof panel. Our 3-inch panels use one junction key per panel, while our 4-inch and 6-inch panels use two junction keys per panel. This configuration is specifically adapted to the design and thickness of each panel to ensure a consistent connection throughout the complete roof system.
The junction keys play an important role in the AV Panel assembly system. By connecting adjacent panels along their length, they help maintain proper alignment and create a continuous, consistent connection across the roof. This system contributes to the overall stability and long-term performance of the complete installation while ensuring that panels remain correctly positioned in relation to one another.
The junction key system is also designed to support a straightforward and efficient installation process. As each new panel is installed, the key provides a consistent connection point between panels, helping installers maintain proper alignment across the entire structure. This makes the assembly process more controlled and helps create a clean, professional finished result.
As an integral component of the AV Composites roof panel system, junction keys are supplied according to the panel thickness, panel quantity, and project configuration to ensure the appropriate connection system is available for each installation.
